Dr. Lynn Carlson is a Board Certified Chiropractic Neurologist who specializes in neurological rehabilitation and concussion recovery. Her approach is based on functional neurology, a discipline that builds on clinical neuroscience and uses various strategies to help improve or re-establish optimal neurological processes. Treatment is centered on multi-modal applications including brain-based therapies, neuro-musculo-skeletal rehabilitation, and clinical nutrition.
Dr. Carlson currently practices at the Carolina Functional Neurology Center in the Charlotte, NC location. Additionally, she is an Associate Professor of Clinical Neurology as a faculty member of the Carrick Institute of Graduate Studies. Previously, she has served on the faculty of Life Chiropractic College West where she taught in the Diagnosis Department. Dr. Carlson has presented numerous lectures on such topics as Functional Neurology, Diagnosis and Management of Concussion, Integrated Approaches for Pain Management, Clinical Applications in Chiropractic, and Health and Wellness Principles.
She maintains active status with the American Chiropractic Neurology Board and the American College of Functional Neurology. Additionally, Dr. Carlson is a current member of the ACA Council on Neurology and the American Chiropractic Association
