Description

Heart disease/ASCVD is the number one cause of death in America and has been for over 20 years. During this webinar, cholesterol metabolism starting with dietary intake and ending with cholesterol clearance, will be discussed. Specific attention will be given to objective laboratory markers that are readily and affordably available. These will include markers such as LDL-P, APO B, APO A1, HDL,LDL,Cholesterol, Triglycerides, Lp(a) etc.  and their interplay with risk of ASCVD. The second half will focus on management strategies to support healthy physiology in regard to ASCVD and brain health and then move on to intervention.  This will include aspects of lifestyle change, including diet, exercise and nutritional support.  Topics will include intestinal permeability/Leaky Gut, liver biotransformation/detox, blood sugar metabolism, mitochondrial health, cognitive decline.
