Physical Rehabilitation of the Injured Athlete: Lumbar region and Lower Extremity
Chiropractors are commonly facing issues presented to them by treating more and more sport and dance related spine and lower extremity injuries. This highly specialized and challenging field will task the practitioner to bring a new and varied approach to that emerging segment of their patient population.
This course is designed to give the general practicing chiropractor a fundamental approach to rehabilitating an athlete or dancer emphasizing the lower extremity and the lumbar region once the injury has progressed from the acute stage of care. The information provided will be directed at returning the patient/athlete back to their respective endeavor. Emphasis will be placed on movement analysis, corrective exercise, building strength and prevention. A review of sports related injuries common to the anatomical region and the stages of healing will also be presented.
The course is a dynamic interactive workshop with the registrants actively participating in the analysis and corrective exercises commonly used by specialists.
This Course is Approved for CEUs in PA, NJ, and DE
